Pricing Introduction

In this section we provide pricing for Car Parking and regular public transport landing charges at Canberra Airport. In the future, we intend to develop this section to include pricing information for general aviation operations

We have also tried to provide some details about what is charged at other airports for similar services (though of course there are service and market differentiations between all the airports).

While we have done our best to obtain accurate pricing information from other airports, readers should inform themselves as to applicable charges at those airports. In this regard, we will be updating this page as the latest pricing information from other airports becomes available and as we further develop this site.

 

Car Parking

Our prices

Canberra Airport no longer differentiates car parking between discrete short-stay and long-stay parking areas. You may now park in any of our car parks, for any length of stay, at the rates outlined below:

In addition, discount rates apply for car parking over the weekend.It is only $30 to park for the whole weekend (arriving after 3pm Friday and leaving by 10.30pm on Sunday night).

Airline Pricing

OUR PRICES

The following prices represent Canberra Airport's scheduled rates for domestic airline operations:

Airfield Services (Landing) Charge	$7.24 per arriving & departing pax
Airport Development Charge	$1.30 per arriving & departing pax
New Apron Recovery Charge	$0.51 per arriving & departing pax
Security Levy	$0.74-$1.96 per arriving & departing pax*

* Price varies depending on airline requirements - pricing for FY10/11.

Canberra Airport has a number of long term commercial agreements (5-15 year terms) with airlines which, with mutually beneficial terms, in most instances provide for prices lower than the scheduled rates tabled above.

Canberra Airport does not currently handle any international airline services.

Due to the varied requirements of individual airlines at a given port (i.e. differential service provision or market position), and the difference in structuring charges between airports (i.e. some services at some airports are priced on a flat annual rate while at other airports the same services might be priced on a volume unit basis, either on a per passenger or per tonne basis), any comparison of domestic RPT pricing is difficult and subjective.

Accordingly, no direct comparison table is provided here, but price information for comparable Tier 2 Airports (small-medium RPT airports) is as follows:
