- Wombat Stew: 2 to 5 June - Canberra Theatre, Civic Square.
Bring the children along to this true blue aussie musical about a dingo who catches a wombat and decides to make stew. This entertaining mix of story-telling, mime, music, dance and puppetry comes complete with blobs of mud, very fine feathers, creepy crawlies, fliesss, gum-nuts and a big bubbling billy can! - Capital Country Truffle Festival: 19-20 June - Various venues.
With the success of the Capital Country (that's from Bowral to Jindabyne) Festival last year, they're doing it again in 2010. The Capital Country Truffle Festival starts on the weekend closest to the winter solstice and consists of a series of events and a huge number of local restaurants in the region where you can enjoy truffles.

- McDonalds Kanga Cup International Youth Football Tournament: 4-9 July - Various venues.
The Kanga Cup is an annual youth soccer tournament held in Canberra. It is the most prestigious youth soccer tournament of its kind to be currently operating within Australia and is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Winning a Kanga Cup is the most coveted prize in Australian youth soccer. The tournament is open to club, school, association or community based teams.
