Easter Travel Tips

Time to fly this Easter?

Easter is fast approaching, and with borders open and routes returning, Canberra Airport is expected to be much busier. This guide will help you navigate the Easter travel period and make your journey stress-free. So join us on a gif-fueled adventure to nailing your next flight from Canberra Airport.

1. Allow extra time for check-in and screening

It’s going to be busy in the terminal. The best thing you can do to reduce stress is allow extra time for check-in and security. This way, you’ll be a-okay in the case of any delays. It also means you’ll have some time after security to get yourself sorted with a nice cuppa or brew (more on this later).

2. Master the super quick drop off

Dropping off a loved one? Terminal Ave is an excellent option for anyone who wants to be in and out in a flash! Need more time? Take advantage of our free 10-minute parking in the Red Outdoor carpark, or use the Express Pickup Zone.

3. Staying longer? Here’s a parking special for you

Planning to park and fly? We’ve got you. Between April 14 – 18, park and save with our Easter parking specials.

Park in the Red or Yellow open-air car park for $99, or Park in the Green undercover car park for only $120.

Better yet, there’s no need to book! Parking specials are automatically applied upon exit. How neat is that?

4. Electronics can stay in your carry-on

Here’s one that will make your life MUCH, MUCH easier. When passing through security, there’s no need to take your laptop or tablet out of your bag. Pop your belongings in the tub under the flap, and you’re done!

5. Enjoy your flight!

Lastly, (and most importantly) enjoy your flight. Before you depart, relax with an excellent coffee from cityhill or a cheeky beer at Airport Taproom. Explore what’s available in the terminal here.
