National Parks and Nature Reserves

There's a good reason why Canberra is called the bush capital. Over half of the Australian Capital Territory is preserved as national parks and nature reserves, including Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and Namadgi National Park. Want to see kangaroos, emus and maybe even a koala? Make sure to add these experiences to your itinerary. Both are just a 45-minute drive from the Canberra city.
