Everything you need to know for the snow!

Snow is starting to fall across the Snowy Mountains! Thredbo and Perisher are gearing up for a big snow season in 2021, with new lift capacities and improved COVID safety measures, so there’s never been a better time to hit the slopes!

To help you prepare for the snow this season, we have compiled all the things you will need to know, from how to get here, when to get here and what Canberra Airport has to offer.

Canberra Airport is flying direct to 12 Domestic Destinations across Australia: Newcastle, Port Macquarie, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Darwin and Sydney. If you’re travelling through Canberra on your way to the snow, whether by air, bus or car, Canberra Airport has everything you need, from rental cars to stocking up on essentials. Canberra Airport is serviced by 6 rental car providers, including Enterprise, Hertz, Thrifty, Eurocar, Budget and Avis, which provide competitive rates and immaculate vehicles.

Majura Park Shopping Centre is just a few minutes’ drive from the Airport, and is home to Costco, Woolworths, McDonalds, Bunnings, Macpac, Autobarn and more. Now, on to the fun stuff! Thredbo and Perisher are set and ready to welcome you back to the slopes this season, whether you’re skiing, snowboarding or just there for the hot chocolates and warm fireplaces. The ski season will officially commence on 12 June, so make sure you’ve picked your resort, booked your flights, and your lift passes. Thredbo:

Thredbo is Australia’s Best Ski Resort, taking out the prestigious award from the World Ski Awards for four years’ running. Perisher:

Adventure comes to life at Perisher, the largest alpine resort in the Southern Hemisphere.
