When you apply for employment, express interest in employment opportunities, participate in a recruitment process, commence employment with Canberra Airport Pty Limited ACN 080 361 548, Capital Airport Group Pty Limited ACN 080 711 191 and its related entities (we, our, us, CAG), or otherwise provide information to us in connection with your employment or engagement, we will collect your personal information.
The personal information we collect may include your name, contact details (including email address, telephone number and residential address), date of birth, employment history, qualifications, licences, certifications, referee details, right to work information, emergency contact details, payroll and banking information, superannuation details, taxation information, performance and training records, health and safety information, security clearance information and other information reasonably required for employment, contractor engagement and workforce management purposes.
We collect your personal information to:
- assess and process employment applications and recruitment enquiries;
- verify your qualifications, experience, employment history, references and eligibility to work in Australia;
- conduct background checks, due diligence and pre-employment screening where permitted by law;
- assess your suitability for employment and make recruitment decisions;
- establish, administer and manage employment, contractor and workplace relationships;
- administer payroll, taxation, superannuation, remuneration, benefits and other employment-related matters;
- manage onboarding, inductions, training, professional development and workforce planning;
- manage work health and safety, fitness for work, incident management and emergency response requirements;
- manage security, access control and regulatory compliance requirements, including where access to secure, restricted or operational airport environments is required;

- manage the cessation of employment or engagement and associated record-keeping requirements.
We may disclose your personal information to:
related bodies corporate of CAG;
- recruitment agencies, labour hire providers and professional advisers assisting with recruitment and employment matters;
- payroll, human resources, workforce management, learning management and employee benefits service providers;
- superannuation funds, insurers, workers compensation insurers and salary packaging providers;
- training, accreditation and certification providers;
- government agencies, regulators and law enforcement authorities where required or authorised by law;
- medical practitioners, occupational health providers and employee assistance service providers where relevant and permitted by law; and
- other third parties where reasonably necessary to administer, manage or support your employment or engagement with CAG.
Where required for your role, we may collect and disclose information relating to airport security clearances, Aviation Security Identification Cards (ASICs), access permissions, licences, certifications and other regulatory requirements necessary for access to operational or secure areas of the airport.
If you do not provide the personal information requested by us, we may be unable to assess your application, employ or engage you, provide you with workplace access, administer your employment or engagement, or otherwise meet our legal and operational requirements.
