Airport Safety Week 2018 'Walk in My Shoes'
Canberra Airport will host its fifth annual Airport Safety Week from 15 – 19 October 2018. This year’s Airport Safety Week theme, ‘Walk in My Shoes’ encourages colleagues to experience airport life from a different point of view.
Employees and contractors of the Canberra Airport will participate in educational tours to discover more about the importance of safety planning and procedures and understand safety activities undertaken by colleagues meeting requirements for airport operations to ensure the terminal, passengers and co-workers are safe.
Tours and experiences will include Aerodrome runway inspections, Foreign Object Debris walk, Australian Border Force and SNP Security tour, Qantas Hangar Engineering tour, Australian Federal Police Airport watch and Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services Station tour.
Airport Safety Week is a joint initiative of the Australian Airports Association and the New Zealand Airports Association.
