We are proud to announce that Canberra Airport’s International Terminal has been awarded Best of Commercial Design in the Australian Capital Territory at the 15th annual Australian Interior Design Awards (AIDA)! The awards celebrate excellence in Australian interior design and are backed by the Design Institute of Australia, the professional body representing Australian designers.

The award-winning interior design of Guida Moseley Brown Architects, features a striking sculpture by Japanese artist Hariyuki Uchida, stone floors and floor to ceiling windows which provide natural light and a clear view of the runways.

“Congratulations to Guida Moseley Brown Architects and the Canberra Airport staff who made this beautiful design a reality. Transforming the airport into an international destination for visitors from around the world and making it a welcoming home port for Canberrans, has been a twenty-year journey and we are so proud of this award,” said Stephen Byron, Canberra Airport Managing Director.

The lounge also welcomes Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines guests with features such as duty-free shopping, free wifi and a café bar. It also includes dedicated customs, immigration and quarantine facilities, transit lounges, baggage screening, and money exchanges.
