Contour 556, Canberra's public art festival
Canberra Airport is delighted to partner with Contour 556, Canberra’s public art festival, presenting artworks and performances by 60 artists along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin from 5-28 November.
The festival site stretches from the National Library, across the National Gallery’s Sculpture Garden and Lake Burley Griffin foreshore through Bowen Park to the Kingston Arts Precinct. Fringe events will be held at Brindabella Business Park and Denman Prospect . The program includes artist talks, workshops and performances drawing inspiration from or reflecting on the cultural and physical character of our designed capital city.
Canberra Airport Managing Director, Stephen Byron, said the provision of great public art was part of the DNA of the Snow family.
“Visitors to the Airport, the Brindabella Business Park and Denman Prospect will know that public artworks form a big part of our vision and our planning”, Mr Byron said.
From 5 October – 28 November, for more information visit Contour 556
