Flights to Port Macquarie commence
On Sunday 1 November, Canberra Airport celebrated the commencement of direct flights between Canberra and Port Macquarie in partnership with Port Macquarie Airport and regional airline FlyPelican. This is the first time that Canberrans can fly direct to Port Macquarie and represents another exciting chapter in the ongoing partnership between Canberra Airport and FlyPelican.
FlyPelican has been a long-time partner of Canberra Airport, with successful routes including Canberra to Ballina/Byron and Canberra to Newcastle. The partnership has been an integral part of the COVID-19 recovery, boosting the aviation and tourism industry within Canberra and regional New South Wales.
On Friday 23 October, Canberra Airport also welcomed the commencement of direct flights between Canberra and the Sunshine Coast with Alliance Airlines, and also welcomed Link Airways with direct flights to Hobart on 5 November.
