FlyPelican’s Dubbo flights a boost for the south east
Canberra Airport has welcomed FlyPelican’s plans to begin daily flights between Canberra and Dubbo in the New Year.
Canberra Airport’s Managing Director, Stephen Byron, said FlyPelican would begin services linking Newcastle, Canberra and Dubbo on January the 30th.
“This is not just a wonderful boost for Canberra, but for the whole south eastern region”, Mr Byron said.
“The one hour service, at optimum flying times, opens the whole district west of Canberra to tourism and business”.
“The service also has the capacity to introduce international passengers to Dubbo, Orange and beyond, through our Singapore Airlines service and direct flights on Qatar Airways from Doha later in 2017”.
“The FlyPelican service also provides a seamless transition in their Jetstream 32 aircraft between Newcastle, Canberra and Dubbo, effectively opening up the whole State to travellers and businesses”.
“We congratulate FlyPelican on their foresight and look forward to the first Dubbo flight on January the 30th”, Mr Byron said.
