Mobile boarding passes for International travellers
Starting on Monday, 6 August 2018, the Department of Home Affairs and the Australian Border Force will accept mobile boarding passes from international travellers at Canberra Airport’s International Terminal.
This arrangement will not be available to domestic travellers on international flights, and a physical ‘D’ sticker is still required.
There are rules that travellers must follow:
Australian Border Force will need to see a passenger’s boarding pass when they present for immigration clearance, so please have your device ready. Passengers having trouble bringing up their boarding pass may be asked to stand aside to allow other travellers to be processed until they can produce their boarding pass. Where a mobile boarding pass cannot be produced, the passenger may be asked to return to check-in for a paper boarding pass. This may include having to be re-screened through security.
For more information about what you need to depart Australia, please see the Department of Home Affairs website.
