Qantas announces Byron flights

Come April, Qantas will commence direct flights from Canberra to Ballina Byron Bay. The flights will operate two times a week on the Qantas turboprop Q400 aircraft.
The flights will initially operate in April, just in time for the Easter long weekend, then it will look to continue the service from July in line with demand.
Qantas is currently flying to 7 destinations direct from Canberra, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
